The Wright Wallet - with English Tan Dublin Leather

The Wright Wallet - with English Tan Dublin Leather

The Wright Wallet was a design I had created a few years ago where I wanted to include polyester wool felt into a leather wallet. At the time I wasn't satisfied with how many cards it really fit, but my good buddy Tim says he absolutely loves this wallet because it forces him to think minimally about how much stuff he's carrying. As a result, I have a returned to the design and named it after him.

Measures 3" wide by 4" tall and .125-.250" thick

Fits 5-6 cards initially, which will be snug, but over time the leather will relax and allow an easier fit as well as a few more cards. Not ideal for cash.

Made with 4-4.5 oz Horween English Tan Dublin, this leather is waxy and has a beautiful pull-up when stresses are put into the leather, giving it a marble look. "Pull-up: The temporary lightening of certain leathers when folded. This is caused by displacing oil and waxes." - Horween Leather Company

"More rustic than our base Essex line, Dublin is a veg tan infused with a rich blend of natural waxes and then hot plated. It has all the supple characteristics of Essex with a darker surface color that showcases the natural grain.” - The Tannery Row

THE THREAD ______________

Here I’m using waxed Brown colored polycord thread from Maine Thread Company out of Lewiston, Maine USA. The thread here is .035” light-medium weight and is stitched using a Saddle-Stitch or Double-Stitch where two needles go through the same hole in opposite direction allowing for a stronger stitch than most commercial sewing machines. Please see the drop down for available thread colors.
