LEATHER SATCHEL - Tandy Leather Partnership

This project is in partnership with Tandy Leather. Tandy Leather approached me this last year to construct a bag for a western period piece short film. The production team gave me tons of creative input on what the bag might look like, so I concocted the idea that the main character, an outlaw on the run, would have snatched up something like this satchel. Head to my YouTube Channel to follow along with the FREE PDF PATTERN and Tutorial! Enjoy!

Tandy Leather Partnership Project

Tandy Leather reached out to me and asked if I had any special projects I would like to craft and share with you all. I have been wanting to craft a leather satchel/messenger bag for some time now and I knew this was the right opportunity. They sent me the leather and the hardware and I agreed to put out a How-To video along with a step-by-step tutorial and free downloadable pattern. I hope you enjoy!

How to Make an Earsaver from Scrap Leather

I’ve been wearing my mask a ton lately and over time the elastic can become quite uncomfortable. Either that or the elastic wears out and I don’t have an extra mask at the ready, but just need to shorten the elastic somehow… Insert the earsaver from leather scraps! This is a super easy project with some scrap leather that can easily be tackled in under 15 minutes. Follow the YouTube video by downloading the Free Printable PDF Pattern. Enjoy!

Making a Bat Card Holder

October is my favorite month. I wanted to do something spooky-ish and yet still offer a practical item for this week’s YouTube video. When I decided on a card holder, I knew it needed to be a simple and yet fun design. My projected time on this project is approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on how much detailing you want to throw in. Follow along on YouTube by downloading the Free Printable PDF Pattern. Have fun!

This is a fun and easy DIY leather card holder. This is not a super unique design, so I don’t feel comfortable charging for a pattern like this. It should take around 30 minutes to complete. Follow along on YouTube by downloading the Free Printable PDF Pattern. Enjoy!

Making a Leather Money Bag

(or Pencil Case, or Dopp Kit)

This project was a custom order from someone through YouTube. I would say it is an Intermediate to Advanced challenge level project. If you have a sewing machine, this is a fast project, however it can be done by hand. Total time should take you between 3-4 hours by hand.
